#jiujitsu means many things to different people, for me it is more than just a grappling sport, more than a fight, more than a workout…This is a life journey even more so when you are a Ronin honored with the opportunity to train with some amazing gyms and knowledgeable coaches around #NewYork…. #ATT #UltimateMMA #TheDojonyc #RedDragonJiuJitsu and of course #Militia. A journey where along the way you form and build priceless relationships with people driven to excel even through the dark times, a trait which transcends trough every aspect in one’s life. Then on the mat after you shake hands, it becomes a journey through one’s self, emotions, patience, control, technique etc. This Gold especially means a great deal to me, this marking Medal #6 from 2016 to now. This is the last tournament I will do in this age bracket 16-29yo next time I compete I will be the youngest in the 30yo and up bracket and at I higher experience level! After capturing gold at Grappling Industries, NAGA and now finally after 4 tries gold at Good Fight! There will be new challenges to prepare for at intermediate when I compete at any of these tournaments moving forward in Masters. The journey continues moving mountains one stone at a time. Thank you everyone who rolled with me leading up to this, I swear I’v learned something new and your time and effort meant a lot to me. Thanks again Coach @chrismanuelatt for coming through today and helping me every week work out the details! There is still much work to be done.
