I Started jiujitsu at the age of 27 back in Queens I Started jiujitsu at the age of 27 back in Queens, NY 2015. It’s about to be 2025 in a few months. It’s not about who is the best, it is about who is left at this point. This is a life long journey of growth and discovery for me and I am enjoying the process very much. Beyond the medals and victories of competition, the gratitude I get from helping those kids and everyone around me set goals and crush them, on and off the mat is what I love about this the most! The intrinsic values of jiujitsu like the mental fortitude, understanding and empathy for others and the ability to remain calm and navigate through uncertainty. These are some aspects of BJJ which for me, are sometimes even more valuable in life than knowing how to execute an armbar. If u train then you know what I am talking about🙏 Thank you Vinny and Sue for giving me an amazing place of positive energy to train for all these years since moving to CT. I greatly appreciate it, as well as the whole Carlson Gracie team and all the grapplers who are so welcoming to me at open mats everywhere I go. Thankyou for keeping me sharp! 💪🙏There is still so much more to learn and take away from this art and I am here for it all!
